About PR Drilling & Consulting
PR Drilling & Consulting was started by Patrick Roach with the simple aim to use his knowledge to service the Drilling and Mining Industry and close the gap between Drilling Companies, Mining Companies and the Local communities. Starting in 1988, Patrick began as a drillers offsider for Stanley Mining Services in Kalgoorlie Western Australia. From that small goldtown Patrick went on to work for some of the largest drilling companies around the world. PR Drilling & Consulting can assist you and your company with it’s needs working together with safety and environment in mind to achieve your goals. Creating new relationships and opportunities for those working and living remotely continues to ensure that we support our local communities and leaving the smallest foot print behind.
Experience
With over 30 years experience Patrick has seen most types of ground formations and conditions with ground foliation and formation pressures. During his time working Coal Seam Gas for Mitchell Drilling in India Patrick used BOP bag type system’s with manifold and accumulator, PCD bits, large downhole hammers, flow shoes, check valves subs and wiper runs. On RC rigs in Africa, Papua New Guinea and Australia Patrick faced broken and collapsed ground conditions, underground workings with backfilling in voids, Rod retrieval, running high pressure air systems with boosters and auxiliaries, dust suppression trailers. On Diamond rigs Patrick has gained experience in running wedges, triple tube, face discharge bits, step bits chrome or stiff barrels, flexy barrels and lipping off.
